Requirement
Beginning with the provisions of the Versailles Treaty, expand your analysis to the global conditions and their consequences during the 1930's that set the stage for World War II. Focus your effort on Europe but mention situations which may have impacted the coming war in Asia as well. As a minimum, include in your discussion geopolitical and historic issues, global economics, technology, international politics, and domestic issues and attitudes within the great powers. Look at the deep issues behind the visible events. For example, how did the efforts at Versailles to re-establish the balance of power in Europe fail? What conditions allowed Adolph Hitler to be democratically elected as chancellor of Germany in 1933 only to takeover as an unfettered dictator? Identify and defend what you consider the one or two most important factors in the inevitable fall into war.
