Current: I joined Georgia Tech as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2020.

History:

• I was a visiting researcher at Facebook for the 2019-2020 academic year.
• I received my Ph.D. in computer science from UC Berkeley, advised by Prof. Vern Paxson. My research was funded in part by the NSF GRFP and NDSEG fellowships.
• While at Berkeley, I was a member of Berkeley's Computer Security research group, the International Computer Science Institute (ICSI), and the Center for Evidence-Based Security Research (CESR). I also worked closely with folks at Princeton's Center for Information Technology and Policy (CITP) and Human-Computer Interaction Lab.
• During my Ph.D., I spent two summers interning on Google's Security, Privacy & Abuse Research team (with Kurt Thomas and Elie Bursztein), and one summer interning on Microsoft Research's Mobility and Networking Research team (with Alec Wolman).
• Prior to Berkeley, I got my bachelor's in computer science at MIT (Course 6-3).
• I hail originally from the great state of Minnesota.

Fun: I'm an avid Minnesota Vikings fan (Skol!). I also play basketball and enjoy running and hiking. I'd never say no to a dram of nice scotch. My Erdös number is 4.
